ICloud Excel file save

I opened an Excel file saved in iCloud. Updated some data and saved the file "shows saved message", but it does not update the file in the iCloud.

File format or file extension Not Valid In icloud, I am trying to access an excel file and I am getting the following message: "File format or file extension not valid" which results in not letting me access the file. I do not have the file opened in another deivce. I have free space in my iCloud storage. The file has been in iCloud for a couple of years now. I also tried opening the file in an iPad but I keep getting the same message. I restarted al my devices too. I also send the file via email, downloaded it and still the same message appears when trying to open the file. What can I do to solve this issue?

Lost Access to Excel File I have spent over 15hrs developing an Excel workbook on my Windows PC. I noticed today that it had not yet synced to iCloud. So, I thought I would force it by choosing "Free up space" so it would only be in iCloud. Ever since I did that I am unable to access the file and it still does not appear in iCloud. I have tried everything I know of. Rebooted. Shut down iCloud from Task menu. Tried to access on PC w/o iCloud running, etc. I just created a new test file and it is also not syncing. The issue seems to be with files originating in Windows. I have not yet experienced an issue with files originating on Mac. ICloud version is 14.1. Windows version is 11. This is extremely frustrating and I really do not want to have to re-do 15hrs of work.

Unable to Save Excel files to iCloud or Desktop I recently created a new Excel file and when I go to save it, I get the error message "You do not have permission to save files to this location." "Make sure that you have write access for this location, or select a different location." This happens when I select either iCloud or my local Desktop. Please advise.

You can then set up iCloud Drive yourself, create a folder for Excel, Word, PDF, etc. to make searching easy.
