wrong apple id

when trying to reset my daughters ipad because she typed in the wrong password to many times i put the wrong apple id. the apple id i put in cant be found or used now i cant log in without the password to that apple id that doesn't exist

I have never been in that position. Can't you simply enter the correct ID instead?
