iPad black screen of death vs. freezer

Just wondering what people's thoughts and experiences are with iPad's "black screen of death" (blackout by itself with backlit screen)

I've tried every solutions online and the one thing that has consistently worked is by putting my iPad in the freezer for a minute or so. Then it turns back on like it's perfectly normal again (until the next shutdown whenever it likes). Is it because it's not cooling properly? Something overheating and causing it to malfunction?

PS: I have an iPad Pro 2019 and I am deathly afraid of taking it to a 3rd party repair shop because...it looks so impossible to take apart and not mess up with the intricate components inside. Thoughts/tips?

Thanks as always!

iPad Pro, iPadOS 16
