No driver for Canon IP4300 printer for MaxOS Monterey.

My Canon IP4300 printer is working perfectly fine. But since the update to Monterey, the printer became e-waste, it simply doesn't work anymore due to the lack of a correct driver.

Canon and Apple, thank you so much for not taking your responsibility and creating unnecessary e-waste.

Should you consider a replacement printer or multi-function device that will remain supported, not by its vendor, but by Apple, look at the networked devices that are currently supported by Apple's built-in AirPrint listing.

Apple does provide printer vendors with the opportunity to participate in macOS development betas so that they can verify that their respective drivers will be compatible upon the production release of a new OS version. Whether or not, Canon opted to participate is not something anyone here would know.

Doing a simple Internet search for this printer came up with the fact that Canon retired this printer and will not provide any updates. Looks like the "ball was in their court." ... and they would be the ones to "thank." Actually, they haven't provided updated drivers since macOS High Sierra ... at least 5 versions of macOS ago.
