Will apple cover an LCD crack with the warranty under these conditions?

My macbook was open when suddenly it looked like there was a crack glitch. I think it’s an LCD crack but the computer wasn’t even closed, and there’s no actual crack on the glass. Also, I always make sure to clean my surface daily. I don’t use screen protectors or anything like that either. I bought the macbook less than a year ago, so would it be covered under the warranty?
