The Ladykillers 1955

Hi, I purchased the Ladykillers from iTunes in HD. iTunes upgraded this film to 4K but it is now back to HD with no 4K options available. Does anybody know why?

Is Apple no longer upgrading movies for existing customers to 4K? Apple used to upgrade their movies automatically to 4K for existing customers. This was great as my older movies got an automatic 4K upgrade. Lately this hasn't happend. I have Once Upon a Time in the West. It received a 4K upgrade in the store but my film in my library did not. I had to purchase a new copy. Today The Departed has been released in 4K yet my copy in my library has not upgraded. Instead I see I have to buy the updated 4K. What is happening here? A bit of clarity would be nice Apple

Apocalypse Now Final Cut I purchased this film on iTunes 2 years ago. I did so because it was a new remastered edition in 4K and Dolby vision and atmos. I put it on the other day and I see it’s now downscaled to only HD. I cannot approach Itunes because there is no avenue open to discuss the issue. Apple has let me down again here. What to do ?

Upgrade HD to 4K 2024 When I have a movie in my account that is only considered HD because of linking to Movies Anywhere, how do I upgrade to the Apple 4k version. I used to buy the movie as a gift and send the code to myself. I am unable to find this feature since iTunes no longer sells movies or TV shows. Any help is appreciated.

maybe it was a glitch that made it show it was suddenly 4k and when they resolved the bug it correctly returned to display what it truly supported.

Thanks for your helpful reply. It looks like the studio has removed the 4K version from iTunes.
