No Icloud photo enable option on my iphone 14

I have migrated from iphone 8 to an iphone14 last year and just realised my photos are not syncing to my icloud account.

I did sign out of my old iphone 8 and also deleted the phone from 'my devices'.

I signed out and back in with my apple ID on the iphone 14 and re-started a couple time.

Still nothing, and only option under Icloud>photos is shared albums.

I am not seeing the option to switch on icloud photos

as the instructions below.....i don't have the option

On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

Go to Settings > [your name].

Tap iCloud.

Tap Photos, then tap the switch next to Sync this [device].

Any help here would be appreciated.

As a general observation, if you have a company-linked phone it is risky to use it for personal activities, as everything on the phone is the property of the company; you can’t isolate your personal data from business data. And you probably shouldn’t link the phone to your personal iCloud account.

Many people carry both a company phone and a personal phone.
