Safari Won't Stream Video While Chrome & Other Browsers Will

Very frustrated having to switch browsers every time I want to stream video -- such as with Xfinity Stream to watch live TV. I've tried the suggestions posted here in January such as turning off extensions, etc. -- none of them work. So I'm wondering if it's a hardware issue as I'm on an older MacBook Pro: a 2017 3.1GHz Intel i5 with 16GB memory, running Ventura 13.3.1. If anyone out there who's a Comcast cable user can run Xfinity Stream on Safari, please let me know -- other suggestions appreciated!
