Re: "How do I fix the static issue with my iPhone headphones"

Wondering which of the various causes of static you are experiencing:

Apple support has articles online that may help troubleshoot:

Eg: Static can be a symptom of wireless interference:

How to: Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference - Apple Support

What to do:

If your AirPods Pro make crackling or static sounds - Apple Support

If the sound from your wireless headphones cuts out or is distorted - Apple Support

If you haven't already:

You may need to update your iPhone to the latest iOS version:

About iOS 16 Updates - Apple Support says 16.5 is the latest.

That way, AirPods firmware can be automatically kept up to date.

Apple Support's article:

About firmware updates for AirPods - Apple Support

says:

*Firmware updates are delivered periodically while your AirPods are charging and in Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

Fine-tuning the iPhone audio may be helpful:

Customize headphone audio levels on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Use headphone audio level features on iPhone – Apple Support

or

If the static is from the connected iPhone: If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker - Apple Support

More support if needed:

iPhone support,

There is a "Get Support" link (or a support app, if you wish to download it) at the bottom of their website:
