I can't search for file locations when I am trying to download to specific folder on chrome and safari

Hi Everyone,

I got a new macbook and I have been frustrated due to the issue of not able to find specific download folder when I am trying to download a file on web browsers (Chrome and Safari).

When I try to find the file locations when I am promted to download, the search wheel appears and does not bring up anything. When I search the same location in the finder, the intended location pops up again.

It is frustrating because I have to search for the files on the network drive relatively quickly when I am working.

I have allowed Chrome for full disk access, and tried some things online, but did not find a solution yet.
