12 digit passcode for Apple Watch Ultra

Hi, I’ve just bought an Apple Watch to go with my iPhone.

I’m having real trouble pairing it because when I get to the Long password stage it’s seeking a 12 digit code, but the phone will only accept 10 digits.

I’m on a 12 digit password for my iPhone I’ve tried changing that without success.

Anyone out there had a similar problem and found a solution as it’s incredibly frustrating not to be able to pair my new watch with my phone.
