Image chopped up when connecting to ultrawide LG monitor

Hi, I’ve got a 2018 13” MacBook Pro and I’ve just connected it to my new LG 49WL95C - WE monitor.

The image is chopped up and completely unusable.

I’ve tried to connect it via USB-C and HDMI with the same result. I’m using it now in split-screen mode, but I’d defies the reason I bought it.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.2

<< Both cables work perfectly well on both of my pcs >>

There are no standards for performance on a PC. You set it manually to whatever you want, and if you get under-runs and blank scan lines, it's your propblem. "Works on a PC" just means the conductors are not broken.

HDMI out of the greenCell connect 60 is suitable for 4K, not the 5K width of your display.

USB-C Direct cable needs to be labeled as USB-C 3.1 with the SuperSpeed+ (or SuperSpeed++) USB Icon and length UNDER 1 meter.
