Logic Pro instantly saw my Behringer X Touch controller’s two channels when I plugged it into the USB hub connected to my 2018 iPad Pro. App Settings -> MIDI -> In/Out offered the option to turn on or off these two channels. However, the X Touch didn’t “connect” and display track names or move its faders to match the Logic Pro track fader positions.
My conclusion: Mackie MCU isn’t currently supported by Logic Pro iPad.
Am I wrong?

James, that’s an interesting idea. I suspect that this functionality is also missing from Logic Pro iPad.
I assumed my X Touch wouldn’t work as soon as I read the statement you quoted. I still did test and it confirmed my understanding.
I do hope Apple adds this functionality, which I have requested.
I would like MCU/HUI support too. I have requested this to the Apple Logic iPad portal.
DovJ, I'm about 99% sure that's you are correct, that is, MackieMCU isn't supported.
Separately, I notice this in the Apple into video: "Plug in your favorite gear using compatible third‑party audio interfaces, MIDI interfaces, and controllers from leading manufacturers like Apogee, Focusrite, Novation, Universal Audio, and more." I would read this to indicate that control surfaces are NOT supported.
I wonder, though, if you could control Logic Pro on your iPad with Logic Control on an iPhone?
How can Apple not include the stuff we've been using in Logic Pro for decades.
Again start making Logic Pro a serious music tool again or stop and sell the **** program to someone else.
