Deleting podcasts from memory on iPad.

Need to reduce excess memory in podcast. When there , there’s a red tab to select delete but nothing happens when I click on it, it just slides back.

Downloaded podcasts won’t delete! I’ve tried everything to delete downloaded Podcasts. In the library, I slide to the left and press remove download, and after I do that, they are all still there.
