Apple TV 4K 2022 controller woes

Both the controller and the remote seems to suffer but since I mostly playing Apple Arcade titles this is so annoying. I’ve tried two DualShock and one dualsense controllers and all of them either lag or stop working even though their battery levels is fine. Moving a bit closer to the AppleTV only works sometimes. The input gets like stuck on a direction or button and just keeps moving the character or the cursor up in a direction even when I’m pressing down. The controllers work perfectly when I connect them to my PS5 so it’s not the controllers.


Updated to latest software and it’s still doing this. Read some other posts but no real solution it seems. Not really the kind of thing I’m used to seeing from Apple. Very disappointing considering this is the latest AppleTV.

I tried to move it to the other side of the TV and it was possibly some radio interference. Seems to have done the trick. Yah to me. If anyone has this issue maybe just move the unit to a different spot. Oarcitualy away from the HDMI panel behind the TV which is where all the chips are located or away from a power charging brick or the PlayStation or another piece of tech that’s using Bluetooth or other radio or electrical stuff. I found my sweet spot it seems.

I just bought a new Apple TV 4K 128gb and sat it on top of my existing Apple TV 4K 32gb which is located 3 metres away in an entertainment unit and instantly had the issues described by others. I never had these issues with my old Apple TV. The new one has stuttering moving around the app interface a gets stuck in one direction or keeps moving after multiple presses and finally catches up. I pair back to the old Apple TV and have no problems whatsoever. I find if i have my ipad on my lap obstructing view it blocks the signal intermittently with the new Apple TV but when i do the same thing obstructing view with the old Apple TV it works PERFECTLY!!!

Please apple fix this with software or is hardware and we need to return for a replacement?
