"Is that a Mac screenshot? Is your “This Month” section found in the ‘Recently Added’ category of the Library (see side bar)? What is the context for that “This Month” section?"
Yes, that's the This Month section of the Recently Added movies in my TV app.
"The Library on Mac (or iPhone or iPad) may contain local video files from other sources than the iTunes Store. But a user would have put those media files there (or opened/played those files through the TV app, with automatic adding to the library).
If you didn’t add those, then could another user of this Mac have done so?"
No one else uses my Mac.
"If you do a Control-click or Right-click on one of those tiles, then a contextual menu should show up. Does that menu have a ‘Show in Finder’ option? If so, then it would have (or have had) a local file associated with it. It could have been files on an external drive that is no longer present; then the TV app would error on trying to show it in Finder."
These are not local files. They were purchased from Apple.
"When viewed in List view, you may set View Options to include Cloud Download and Purchase Date.
- Purchase Date would show for items that were purchased from the iTunes Store.
- Cloud Download would show for items with a blue symbol when those are available to download from the iTunes Store, and a grey symbol for items that have been downloaded or are not associated with the iTunes Store."
As I noted in my original post, one was purchased on May 2, the other on May 7. They are both available to download.
"You may choose to remove the items when your investigation is done. Control-click or Right-click, then select ‘Delete from Library’."
I know how to delete them. I just want to know where they came from and why they're in my library.
