CarPlay and battery health

Hello. I have an iphone 14 promax now and i would like to use CarPlay every time I’m driving my car but i noticed with my previous iPhone that connecting iPhone to CarPlay many times a day for short periods of time clearly reduced my battery autonomy. Do CarPlay causes harm to battery and is there an option to connect to CarPlay without charging the battery. Thanks
