Mail Drop not working?

I have occasionally used Mail Drop in the past without issue. But today, a large attachment is being consistently rejected. The file is a large TIFF file, about 45 MB in size. I tried compressing it into a .zip file, which didn't change the file size much, and received this when I tried to sent it:

I reviewed the Apple page on Mail Drop limitations, and as far as I can tell I'm not exceeding any limits.

Any suggestions?

Apple Mail won't send attachments in email. Apple Mail has suddenly stopped sending attachments in email. Whether I drop the attachment into the email or choose a file with the paper clip, all it shows is the file is downloading but never attaches to the email. I tried attaching documents in safe mode and that works but when I restart in normal mode, it goes back to not attaching documents to emails. I have just updated to Sonoma 14.4 but it was happening before the update. Help.

e-mail dropping outgoing images This is a strange one: For the past several weeks, Apple mail has been sporadically stripping images from outgoing mail. The recipients all claim that there was not attachment, but my copy in the sent mail box shows otherwise. It's not consistent, though: sometimes it strips the image out, and other times it lets it through. I've tried changing the size of the image in the outgoing message, to no avail. (I end up sending the images through LinkedIn, because that transfer always works.) Any thoughts on what the issue could be? I'm using an M1 Macbook Pro, with all the latest versions of the OS and software.
