Hi everyone,
When I record a slow-motion video on my iPhone running iOS 16.5, it doesn't play in slow motion when I view it from the Photos app. However, the slow-motion effect is visible when I switch to the Edit mode and press Play.

I have same issue and restarting phone does not help. Viewing in edit mode works, so it is reordered correctly. Also viewing same video on a iPad works as expected.

Same here, I reset my iPhone 14 Pro as a new device and it doesn't help me.
Same issue with my iphone 13 pro, ios 16.5
Well, the issue is with the advance data protection in my case. Try turn it off ;).
Oh wow. That fixed it. So no slow motion, if you have advanced data protection on. So weird.
But is it possible that this issue is triggered with the update to IOS 16.5.1?
Anyway, it fixed the problem for me too after deactivating the advanced data protection.
Advanced Data protection turned off on my iPhone 13, and safari is dial up slow. Battery is draining badly and phone use is all sluggish. Have followed suggestions reducing battery usage as much as possible by apps., ect. Calling Apple this is unacceptable and should never have been rolled out with these Bugs!!
Nope, I have tested on 16.4, 16.5. and the issue was there too.
It seems the problem disappeared with iOS 17.
