My iPhone thinks my sennheiser shotgun mic is beats and doesn’t work. Is there a simple solution?

The solution was to use an apple adapter instead of a non apple one…

Thank you for your response. I’m not using any apps, using only the supplied cable from sennheiser to my lightning adapter onto my iPhone 13 promax. Then it asks me to connect beats headphones after which the mic makes no input.
