A person is saying their lost Apple Watch shows on my address, is it possible it's my Apple Watch signal?

A person showed up at my front door saying she had lost her Apple Watch and it shows my address but I have not found an Apple Watch and the only Apple Watch here is my Apple Watch….. is it possible that she is getting a signal from my watch?

This is a somewhat common problem. There was even news article about it recently. What's happening is the Find My feature is showing the owner an incorrect location for their device. One particular family has had numerous people show up at their door, sometimes with police for assistance, saying Find My says their iPhone/iPad/Watch is in their home, and they want it back.
