My watch face will appear magnified

More often than I would like to experience, my watch face will appear magnified and nothing I can do using the crown or gestures will reduce the magnification to normal. Only a hard reset will resolve the problem. The watch is up to date with updates.

If anyone knows another way to return the watch to its normal mode (unmagnified), I would appreciate knowing how that is done.

Thanks.

The double tap worked to magnify the display and to return the display to its regular viewing size. This magnification experience has occurred while the watch was on my wrist, during hikes. I was planning to try the two tap suggestion during one of those episodes. I've also seen the magnification when the watch is taken of its charging cable but the view returns to normal without any screen tapping-the password screen appears its normal size.

I typically wear a long sleeve shirt when outside and most often the shirt is the type that wicks moisture away from the skin (think Under Armour). Occasionally, during a hike, my workout will end by itself (frustrating to say the least) and I'll have to restart the workout on my watch. If I roll up the sleeve of my shirt, that doesn't seem to happen. I didn't think clothing would have the same affect on haptics as a finger. Looks like it may.

Thanks for your help.
