How to remove pop-ups from my Mac?

I keep getting a small pop-up, like the email ones on screen at the top right corner of my screen. When I click on it, it opens Safari and takes me to

Obviously, I don't download anything there; and I am already connected to a Trend Micro VPN. Anyone seen this? and how can I find it to remove it?

Well folks, I looked in Safari -> Settings -> Notifications -> Websites and found the gear icon in the list of web addresses. You know the one: without a website or IP address next to it. The permissions were set for 'Allow'. Made me ill looking at it. I deleted the icon (website). Hopefully, that's now gone. If I see it again, I'll chase and post again. But I think it's done.

BTW, the notice looks like this if it happens to you:

I don't believe I'm the first to have this happen to. Hopefully, it never does to anyone else, but if so, try this out.

Peace.
