I'm desperate... I wonder if any specialist can give me a hand? I cannot reinstall Windows in my iMac...

I've tried 'diskutil cs create Macintosh\HD disk0 disk1', but it doesn't work...

iMac 27″, macOS 11.7

You have a split Fusion Drive since the internal SSD & Hard Drive are not longer linked together. Before doing anything else make sure to have a good backup of your data since all instructions for fixing your setup will involve destroying all data on both internal drives.

First you will want to recreate the Fusion Drive using the instructions in this Apple article:

How to fix a split Fusion Drive - Apple Support

When posting commands used in the Terminal app, please use the "Code Insertion" Tool whose icon looks like "</>" on the forum editing toolbar as it makes the command text much easier to read as it utilized a different font meant to more easily distinguish characters & spaces.

It appears you neglected to include a space between the backslash and "HD" part of the "Macintosh HD" volume name. The command should be:

diskutil cs create Macintosh\ HD disk0 disk1

Notice the space after the backslash and before the "HD portion of the command. You can also forego the backslash if you enclose the volume name in double quotes like this which is also acceptable (notice there is no backslash when using double quotes for the volume name):

diskutil cs create "Macintosh HD" disk0 disk1

FYI, you made things very confusing by referencing reinstalling Windows, when you are actually asking assistance for recreating your Fusion Drive at this time since installing Windows is not even an option until after recreating the Fusion Drive and reinstalling macOS.

The screenshot from the Terminal app looks fine for an installation of macOS. There are no standard Core Storage containers when using macOS 10.13+ with the APFS file system. The APFS file system utilizes APFS containers.

Make sure to follow the instructions in the Apple article I linked in my other post for the exact OS you are using to create a Fusion Drive. Newer versions of macOS may not be able to use the "diskutil" command for creating a Fusion Drive (or if it does work, then it may affect the later steps for listing the containers).

I am confused by the information already presented here, so please follow the instructions in the Apple article I linked.

Thanks HWTech! It works and let see whether the whole process of installing Windows can be completed.

First, about the backslash problem. In the terminal, I've typed the space, it's just a typo of missing space here. Actually, I've tried 'the link' for two days and found that I still couldn't find a solution, that's why I posted up here.

I think maybe even for the Apple instructions, it has to emphasize to do the resetFusion in the Terminal in the macOS Utilities windows, and NOT in the Terminal during normal operation.

But really thanks for your reminder of reading the link in detail.
