A vertical white band, about 1" wide on right side of screen is covering information on Safari screen.

Many times when I'm looking at a page in Safari on my iPad 9th gen, as soon as I try to scroll I will get a vertical band of white, maybe 1" wide, on the right side of the screen which covers information. There is no "X" or any other way to get rid of the band.

I have tried resetting my iPad, as suggested by other Community people, many times, but I still get the band after scrolling. STILL HAVE THE VERTICAL BAND!

Also as a suggestion by Community people, I have verified my Safari "Zoom" setting is at 100% (and also tried other settings, then going back to 100%). STILL HAVE THE VERTICAL BAND!

How do I get rid of this band?

Hi! I am having the same exact situation. Did you ever resolve this issue? I've cleared my cache, uninstalled and reinstalled Chrome, yet nothing helps. I get a white vertical band down the left side of 2 specific websites. It covers all the text underneath, and there is no way to remove the band. There is actually an X, but when you click on it, nothing happens. It first started on one specific website, now it's doing this on two websites. I can't find a single person to help me with this. I appreciate any feedback you may have.

I forgot to mention that I did verify I was in full screen mode, every time the band appeared.

Thank you for the suggestion, but that is not the solution.

When I tried to scroll the Amazon page below the text size changed and everything shifted to the left, leaving the band on the right.

Sometimes the band actually covers text without the screen size changing.

The problem only does appear in Safari and I couldn't find a solution in the Safari settings.

Although the extension symbol is there I do not use any extensions. I have tried to get rid f the symbol but haven't found a way to do it.

I truly appreciate your comments even though we haven't found the problem. It is awesome you are trying to help.
