use iphone 6 without a sim card for itunes

If it has not been erased / restored to factory settings, you don’t need a sim card to use it.

if its been erased / restored to factory settings you will need functional sim card to activate it. The sim card does not need to have active cell service tied to it, but it does need to be functional. Damaged or non-functional sim cards will not work.

Also, of the iPhone is locked to a particular service provider, the sim card will need to be one from that provider.

Once activated, you can remove the sim card entirely.

I believe you might need a SIM card of some type to activate it. But it could be an old one that may even be inactive. Just needs to detect **A** SIM card to activate.

You do NOT need a SIM card to connect your iPhone 6 to a Wi-Fi Network.
