Right shift key toggles CAPLOCK behavior

Strange keyboard behavior whenever I press right SHIFT key, it will toggle caplock behavior and type everything in caps and the right arrow untoggles it. The keys do not appear to be stuck but this happened after kids spilled a drink on it. Even gently pressing right shift toggles on and right arrow key untoggles. A reboot did not help.

The advice by dialabrain is almost certainly correct by what you describe.

My guess is that the key is stuck, but as you mentioned caps lock…

To ascertain if it is actually behaving like caps lock or a stuck shift key, press one of the digit keys - for example, 1. Does if produce an exclamation point, or a 1?

If it’s producing “!” then the key is getting “stuck” somehow and you should have your mac looked at, like dialabrain suggested.
