How do I rearrange albums in iPhoto?

If you are asking about your M2 MacBook Pro, that would be "Photos" rather than "iPhoto" which was discontinued and replaced by Photos.

You can drag and drop Albums in the sidebar of Photos to rearrange them or you can go to "My Albums" and drag and drop them there to rearrange them.

And, by the way, you can have Photos sort the albums for you by control clicking the folder they're in to bring up a menu:


If you include the dated in the album title, year-month-day, the sorting by name will put them in order even if they weren't created in order.

If all photos in the albums have dates assigned, you can also sort the list of albums automatically by the date and do not need to add the date to the name of the album.


Cttl-click a folder with albums in the sidebar or simply the title "My Albums", then select "Sort" in the contextual menu that will appear. Sorting by "Newest first" will sort the list of albums according to the most recent photo in the album, and "oldest first" according the oldest photo in each album. It is very convenient.
