Very annoying additional noises when video recording

Hi everyone!

I have an iphone SE, and I wanted to record some video footage in 1080p 60fps. I love the image quality, but the sound is terrible. There is a constant burring sound and sometimes there is additional lumber, clicking, clanking and so on.... I recorded a video about this issue, to hear it turn up the volume.

Is this normal??? I don't think so, as it is just competely ruins the whole video....:( Do you have any idea what might seems to be the problem?

Thank you in advance!

iPhone SE, iOS 16

To suppress external audio noises while recording video on an iPhone, you can follow these steps:

  1. Choose a quiet environment for recording your video to minimize background noise. Look for a place with minimal distractions and low ambient noise.
  2. The built-in microphone on an iPhone picks up sound from all directions, including unwanted ambient noise. Consider using an external directional microphone that focuses on capturing audio from a specific direction while reducing background noise. You can connect such microphones to your iPhone through the headphone jack or lightning port, depending on the iPhone model.
  3. If you're using an external microphone, make sure it is positioned close to the sound source you want to capture. This helps in capturing clear audio while reducing background noise.
  4. While recording, avoid unnecessary movements and handling of the iPhone. Unwanted contact with the device can generate noise that interferes with your video's audio quality.
  5. If you're recording outdoors or in a windy environment, using a windscreen or pop filter over the microphone can help reduce wind noise and minimize plosive sounds from your speech.
  6. After recording, you can use video editing software or dedicated audio editing tools to further reduce background noise and enhance the audio quality. These tools often provide noise reduction filters and equalizer options to refine the sound.

If you have a hearing or sound issue on your device then please try some of these processes to set it right

  1. If you have a distorted sound issue on your iPhone --> If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad
  2. If you are not able to hear the other person, click this...>If you can't hear a person on a call or voicemail or if the sound isn't ...
  3. If you only hear through speakerphone mode --> If your iPhone is stuck in headphone mode - Apple Support
  4. If the other person is not able to listen to you then please click this to identify the issue --> If the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch aren't ...

If the above options do not mitigate the issues then Contact your carrier and then Contact Apple Support
