Security update notifications missing

For quite a while I’m not getting push notifications from Apple anymore for security updates. Across multiple devices. MacBook, iPad and iPhone.

I have to manually check all devices for updates to keep my software up to date.

Is there a hidden feature to suspend/enable?

Cheers!

Dirk

You can check your setting — if you want automatic update...

make some changes:

All those settings were switched on. The problem lies somewhere else.

I use Little Snitch as a personal firewall with a quite complex rule table. It could be an explanation. However, haven’t found the problem there. And it’s also across other devices.

I was wondering if there are others with similar issues. Is there possible a push notification issue from the server side?

Cheers!

I would disable/ uninstall your "Little Snitch" and compare your results.

Good point! That would for sure exclude the firewall as our troublemaker.

However, not a very secure approach, since I don’t know the schedule for the push notifications. It would require countless days monitoring without a firewall security in place. That’s definitely a no no.

Unless there is a way to trigger a security push notification??? I would certainly test that for a short manageable period of time.

Still doesn’t explain missing notifications on iPhone and iPad. No additional firewall running on those IOS devices.
