Do note, the Mac mini will not just automatically connect to the iPad on its own. You do need an existing monitor connected to the Mac mini to be able to see the screen and activate Side Car mode every time you need to use it.

… depends… do you need a keyboard built into the case? … if you do( or not ) , there’s loads of ‘em, pretty much any colour you want… Apple will even sell you one( Smart Folio)… some of the keyboards have backlighting… I can’t recommend any of them as I don’t have an iPad Pro or Air…
