iPhone 3G dfu mode problem

can't restore the iPhone 3G from Recovery mode. Because it says "this iPhone was previously in DFU mode, but it restarted and is no longer in Dfu mode, so I should disconnect it and put it in DFU mode again."
But if I set it in DFU mode,can't restore the iPhone 3G from Recovery mode. Because it says "this iPhone was previously in DFU mode, but it restarted and is no longer in Dfu mode, so I should disconnect it and put it in DFU mode again."
