No play button for shows on Apple TV +

My shows (silo and Ted lasso) have no play button. After searching around this is a common issue. I found an answer on my own so I’m posting this to help others.

turn off the tv, unplug it for 10 seconds and plug it back in. This usually resolves the issue. Try a couple times if unsuccessful. The app is pretty terrible and loads content very poorly. Soft resetting it this way forces it to reload and may resolve the issue. It has for me on multiple occasions.
