iPhone Visual Voicemail Error 1035

My husbands and I upgraded to the iPhone 14 pro max a few months ago, the last few weeks we have not been receiving our visual voicemails. The last VVM I received was 4/25/2023. I have Verizon as my CP carrier. I was on the phone with the Service Tech for over two hours, no resolution. I have googled and researched and tried every fix I can find and my VVM still does not work. I have even gone as far as to factory reset my phone. I am using cellular data, I have turned my wifi off, I have reset my network, I have triple checked my vm is set up and nothing works. Does anyone have any tips, tricks, solutions I can try. I am out of options, please help

Here are several steps to resolve your problem if the above has not worked:

  • Reset Network Settings at Settings > General > Transfer or Reset Phone > Reset > Reset Network Settings
  • Turn on Cellular Data at Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data
  • Go to Settings > Phone. Scroll towards bottom and see if you have the option to setup Visual Voicemail. If setup on phone, then you will have the option to change password. You should not need to to change the password if already set up.
  • You can also dial *86 to complete set up.

Resetting the network settings will require you to enter your Wifi password again to sign in to your Wifi network. If those steps do not work, the carrier may have the wrong IMEI number associated with your upgraded phone.

I have been struggling for the last year with my voicemail, since I changed to AT&T. I have done all the resets every suggestion online, only to record hit save and get that 1035 error again. I change my voicemail seasonal for business reasons. Needles to say it’s been very frustrating. Today I believe I figured out the problem. Screen lockout time. If it’s set at 30 seconds, the network is disconnecting before I can complete the message. I changed it to 2 minutes, finally saved my messages, then I went back in settings and changed it back to 30 seconds. Hope this helps someone else.
