iPhone 14 folders

I picked up my phone this morning and there was a new folder marked Finance. In it was a banking app and a medical app. I definitely did not do this. I have tried moving the apps out of the folder with no success. I have also found I am unable to set up new folders. How do I fix this? It is my phone and I don't need or want Apple's system taking over my phone screen.

Then either you or someone who has access to your phone accidentally created the folder. Folders never create themselves, unless there is a screen defect that simulates touching the screen, something commonly called “ghost touch”. It is rare on a new phone, but a bad lightning cable can cause it when the phone is plugged in.

You create a folder by holding any app down until all wriggle, then drag one app so it is on top of another app and it will create a folder. To undo it you also hold until they wriggle, then lightly touch either app and drag it out of the folder.

  1. Is this your corporate iPhone? Then please contact the system administrator of your corporate
  2. If it is your personal device, in that case, do you have any profile installed by your corporate/organisation/enterprise/School Management?
    1. Erase the profile added by you If you have installed a profile on your own --> Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone - Apple ...
    2. Or please contact the system administrator of the organisation who provided the profile to you

I believe you solved my problem. The 2 apps that were in a folder were adjacent to each other. I must have accidentally created the folder. I've had quite a problem with my new phone turning on when I've had it in my pocket. Finally found out how to turn the raise to turn on feature off. That's caused me lots of problems. Thank you.

No offence intended but how is Lawrence Finch’s answer the best … because noone has access to my phone and the same thing happened to me and this morning.

The reason I am on here this morning is another screen / page issue. Except for my first “home” page on my iPhone 14 plus, ALL my other 3 pages if apps and short cuts including the folders they were in are gone GONE.
