Are you asking about Apple Pay? Or Apple Card? The first is a payment mechanism to which you add your existing credit or debit card and you can then use tap-to-pay anywhere that supports Apple Pay. It is safer than using a card directly because the payee never touches your card (can't be skimmed) and doesn't get your actual card numbers. Apple Card is an Apple-branded credit card issued by Goldman Sachs. It is covered by the usual laws and protections in the U.S. for credit cards. So, it's as safe as any other card.

Hi Casab,

Apple Pay and Apple Card are both really safe reasons why is

  • They don’t give your cards actually card number so if a hacker or scammer tries to get your info it won’t work since that virtual number changes
  • Apple Pay doesn’t have to deal with skimmers since you are not inserting your card.
  • If your iPhone gets stolen from you and you have your cards on Apple Pay when you active it on lost mode it won’t let them access Apple Pay on it
  • When setting up Apple Pay some cards ask to conform that you are the person that owns the card by ( sending a text with a code or a email with a code )

Hope this helps!
