Mac Numbers BAR CHART - Why is the progress bar retreating after goal is over 100% reached?

Hey everyone,

I use some bar charts on Mac Numbers to keep track of some projects, and I noticed the bar retreats in percentage when over 100% of the goal is reached. For example, if the goal was reached in 110%, the bar retreats in 10% and looks exactly as it looked when it was only 90% reached, which ends up being visually misleading. Can you help me making the progress bar stop at 100% even after the goal is more than 100% reached?

Thanks a lot!

This looks like a table with a few single-series bar charts overlaid on it. Did you create this table/chart? I am assuming it is a stacked bar chart to make that gray underlying bar that gets covered up by the green. So it is probably something to do with the formulas that generate the numbers for one or both of those two bars. That and/or the X axis max not being set to 100. If it is left to float (auto), it will change to accommodate the data

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Yes, these were created by me. I am using only two cells, one as the goal (sometimes 100, sometimes a different number) and one for the accomplished percentage, which sometimes goes over 100. When the percentage goes over 100% in the accomplished cell, the number goes negative in the goal one. I think that is what is causing the problem. Is there a way to prevent a cell from never going bellow zero?
