Is there a way to extract/export a movie from Keynote on iPad?

I have a Keynote that was created on a laptop I no longer have access to. Is there any way to extract or export an embedded movie in my Keynote file to use elsewhere?

  1. Copy the Keynote file on the iPad to a Mac using Air Drop, if you don't have a Mac borrow one
  2. Open the Keynote file on the Mac and go to the slide with the video file
  3. select the video file on the slide then Go To Format > Movie
  4. drag the video file on to the desktop:

Hello todoubledza,

Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If we understand correctly, you are trying to save a video from a Keynote file made on a computer that you don't have access to anymore. After looking at the Keynote for iPad guide Keynote User Guide for iPad - Apple Support it doesn't appear there is a way to save a video in a Keynote file, so let Apple know you would like this option here:
