Signing in to Apple TV on Roku

I decided to take the plunge and sign up with Apple TV+.

I set myself up with a new Apple ID as the old one wouldn't let me change my payment method.

I went to sign in with it and I'm stuck in a vicious circle of ID Codes on my 'phone and a login screen on the Roku box where I made a mistake in my user ID but I can't go back to change it.

I was having to use the remote as the code that came up on screen contained 2 x I, don't know if that was "I" or "l" and "0", don't know if that was "0" or "O". What sort of system uses several characters that that resemble each other so closely in a code?

Any ideas how I get out of this vicious circle please? The first day of my seven day free trial has nearly gone :-(

You may reset the app to start over with a clean slate.

Else you can delete and re-install the app to the same effect. (A little bit more effort.)

Many thanks Urquhart1244 :-)

I am watching on a Roku box and eventually found if I kept clicking "back" I could start again.

The screen code for authorising the Roku is alphanumeric and that was where the issue was.

When I finally got it sorted out I found the NCIS series I wanted to watch was chargeable on top of the subscription so I immediately unsubscribed anyway.
