I have severe scrolling lag on credits in FCP

Hiya

(Tom and Luis if you're seeing this- it worked! The Simpsons Compound thing- everything is in place [without the need for embedded compounds- THANKYOU!])

New problem, however; doing a scrolling credits- LOTS of lines of text, scroller seems to be lagging a lot, is there any way to fix the lag?- I don't really wan't lag in the final export- especially if it's an official project submission...!

Everytime you play the timeline, Final Cut Pro has to make many calculations to determine what pixels to display. Some areas may be more complex than others, and FCP may have difficulty playing in real time.

Rendering is doing these calculations ahead of time and saving the results. Instead of calculating everything, FCP uses the stored results (called render files) to know what to display in each frame of video.

Please start a new thread and give specific details about your mac and the issue you are having.

There is no indication that your issue is related to the OP. It does not even seem to be related to Final Cut Pro.

Please be specific and, as LocaAlicia noted, we are just users like you trying to help.

We cannot help without clearly understanding what the problem is.
