The NOTES app on my IMac, the search option will not work

I use Notes all the time, on my iPhone and on my Mac....search for notes works fine on my phone, but stopped working on the mac a few months ago. Very frustrating! Please help. ALSO: The search option also stopped working for my email account. Extremely frustrating!!

Notes app not searching Since the latest update to Monterray 12.6.6 my Notes app has not been working with search field. I found a google tip, to go to the apple/preferences/click on my apple ID icon/deselect Notes, wait a minute, reselect Notes and it's supposed to fix the issue. But it didn't. I use Notes all the time, and need to be able to search for specific items!! Anyone know why, or does this require a bug fix Apple? Note; notes app is working fine on my iphone.

“Find notes” action in shortcuts “cannot communicate with helper application” I think there is a bug with the find notes action. When I use it to find a note with a specific title, it says “can’t communicate with helper application” when run. I have tried deleting the action and adding it, creating a new shortcut for it, using the ipad instead of the iphone to make the shortcut, restarting my devices, and updating ios, but none of these methods worked. The action still “cannot communicate with helper application”. Is this issue known? Can it be worked around?

Notes app wont open My notes app wont open anymore. Ive updated the OS. Ive restarted my mac (previously this has fixed it). My mac is quite new (M2, bought 5 months ago), and this happened on my last mac as well (2018). I use this app a lot between my iphone and mac air.

Try booting into Safe Mode then restart normally. Sometimes that will fix anomalies.
