iPad Pro 5th Generation, 2021, a2379; won't boot, black screen, limited amperage draw.

The iPad suffered impact that shattered screen. The amperage draw is continually .48, far below normal, regardless of how long it has been left on the charger. The charging port has been replaced and tested with no change. The screen has been replaced as well. The screen is black and there is no evidence it ever boots. Have tried soft reset (vol up, vol down, power). No change. New MFI cables and chargers have been tried. It will not mount for wipe/restore. Does not appear visible to external devices.

iPad has personalized engraving so customer is very hopeful save this particular device.

Presumably the iPad was repaired by a third-party (independent) repairer - and not by Apple or an Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP). As Apple does not supply OEM (genuine) parts outside of its own repair network, and components used for the attempted repair will either be scavenged from other broken devices, or will not be genuine parts of Apple origin.

Many components, if changed, reportedly require the use of special diagnostic software before they will be recognised by the system hardware. As this software is not available to third-party repairers, regardless of the efficacy of the attempted repair, the iPad may not operate.

As the iPad has not been repaired by an authorised repairer, you will have forfeited all hardware support by Apple. Unfortunately, you now are very much on your own.
