I purchased a new mac pro 14 m2 since one week, but the battery only lasts 6 hours of web browsing and downloading only and that is while dimming keyboard and screen brightness, what is the solution for this?

You can check and see what is driving the power consumption in Applications > Utilities > Activity Monitor and selecting the Energy tab at the top. But it really depends on the website design. Some are massive power users due to poor design. When I've seen a website that uses a tremendous amount of power, it will show both the web browser and the particular website that's using so much power.

Depends on what you're browsing. The maximum battery life when used will be from fairly basic websites. But some web pages (especially with lots of animated ads) can be ridiculously power hungry. I don't know if you really want to do it, but some people install ad blockers that help reduce power consumption.
This can depend greatly on how you use your Mac. Heavy usage depletes the battery faster.

It seems likely that the "Up to 18 hours Apple TV app movie playback" involved movies that had already been downloaded to the test system (rather than playback of purchased movies that were still "in the cloud").
but even if, isn't 6-7 hours very far away from the 18hours apple announced with this model (I only use it with videos)??... thank u
