Scam query - What is app.adjust.com ?

I was working on Microsoft Word on my iPad, and I tried to save a copy of the document, and instead of going to my files on my iPad it took me to this webpage:

"app.adjust"

Although I shut the process down and didn’t continue to save the document, I am concerned about what this is and what app.adjust.com is and how it may be affecting my iPad.

Please could you advise.
