Difficulty connecting to Car Play

When cord is connected to charging port, it has been necessary to push the cord in one direction to enable a connection to Car Play. I have replaced the cord and the problem continues with my iphone 13 Pro Max

iPhone XR Car Play My iPhone XR , won’t connect to Car Play. When it is plugged in to the USB for Car Play it comes up as charging and then not charging. So it is constantly beeping where it connects and dissconnects. Because of this it wont connect for Car Play. I have no issues connecting it to any other USB device at home. It is very annoying, it’s my wife’s Car and all the other iPhones in the house connect fine. Any ideas. Thanks

iPhone 7 Charge/Music Port My phone won’t connect via a music link in the port on the phone. The charging port which is the same port is still working. I’ve tested this Port with different cars, cords/cables (Apple & non Apple connections) although the phone charges the audio does not - I’ve also tested those things with my partners iPhone and that works fine so I know it’s not the cables/connections. The phone can play sound from it’s speakers and connects via Bluetooth to wireless headphones. I can no longer play music in my car now as it won’t connect. I’m confused as the it’s the same port for charging and that’s fine. the phone hasn’t been subjected to water damage or dropped.

Phone not charging with lightning cable anymore I have the iPhone 12 pro max with the current iOS 16.x and I have recently switched to wireless charging. I have a 2019 VW Jetta in which I would use CarPlay to charge my phone and for apple music/navigation. Now when I connect my phone in the car, it no longer charges the phone. So no apple music or navigation. I tried using my daughters phone with the lightning cable in the car and it charges her phone. Has anyone else using a wireless charger for their phone loss the ability to connect your phone to your cars infotainment center?

That sounds like a hardware issue with your phone. I would contact Apple or visit a store for service.
