Can't find right keyboard layout, looks like Qwerty with french numeral/diacritic layout above it

Hello, I have purchased a 'refurbished' ibook air 2020 M1 that was advertised as 'belgian qwerty' in the netherlands. However there is no such layout in the apple system settings.

The keyboard is mostly regular qwerty except the number row which has the numbers above the diacritics (as on a french AZERTY layout) and slightly different diacritics.

I've gone through a number of French, Belgian and Canadian layouts but can't find the proper one.

Also there doesn't appear to be a way to trigger the keyboard layout detection program that you get when connecting an external one.

Any help greatly appreciated! (just typing blind on US international settings right now)

Kind regards

This keyboard is non-standard, someone has modified a French keyboard to make it partly English qwerty. There's no input source that will fit it from Apple, but you can make one with

Are you sure the previous owner did not give you a copy of a custom input source that he must have used himself?

Any way to get a refund?

It certainly is odd. Could the previous owner tell you where he got it from? The only qwerty French keyboard Apple makes is Canadian French, which is a lot different than either French or Belgian.

You should be fine with US or ABC or US International PC (if you want the special deadkeys for accents in the last one) for touch typing.

Dear Tom, thank you for taking the time to reply: it would explain a few things, however the previous owner is adamant he did no such thing.

I'll ask him once more.... I have learned that 'refurbished' in this case just meant 2nd hand....

The keys also look completely original to me. This layout is one that I'll never want to memorise, in fact I hardly look at the keyboard at all when typing so it may be better for me to ignore the layout and set the map to US Int.

The label on the box clearly says KB-F (French) BELgium.... but it's not azerty.
