how to remove mail in a junk folder from just one account at a time. When I delete emails from one junk folder it deletes the emails from all of my accounts junk folders.

Is there a way to delete junk emails from just one account? When I delete emails from my junk folder on any of my 5 accounts it deletes the emails from all of my junk folders.

"... at the very top to the right of "favorites" hoover and click the "+" to add a folder. You have to expand the blue up/down symbol."

You have to do this to see folders to add. You can add "All" type and individual account types. You don't need to two finger click anything.

The plus is hidden until you hoover over "Favorites". It will eventually reveal itself.

I have this same issue. If I go into my Personal Email Account to delete junk emails and right click on the Junk Folder, the option is to Erase Junk Mail but by doing this it is erasing ALL junk emails from All my Accounts. I want to be able to erase the junk mail from just my Personal Email Not also from my Business Email as I have Not scanned through the junk emails in my Business Account yet. Only other option that I see is open the Junk Folder, click on one of the junk emails, Command All and Delete which then takes them into my Trash Folder which I then have to take those additional same steps to remove them from my Trash Folder. I am coming from Windows to Mac and feel like there are Not as many customization features.

Each account has its own junk folder. But if you delete from the "All Junk" folder you'll get them all.

Sometimes you have to reveal the folder by clicking the expansion symbol. Or at the very top to the right of "favorites" hoover and click the "+" to add a folder. You have to expand the blue up/down symbol.

I'm sorry but I don't think you understand my question. I don't need to add any folders. I have junk folders for all my accounts. My problem is that I cannot delete junk from just one folder. When I try to delete junk from just one folder it deletes the junk from all junk folders. My question is "how do I delete emails from just one folder at a time, not all folders at once?"

Each account has its own Junk folder, Delete from each individually. If you saying the "Erase Junk Mail" right click selection gets them all, yep ... it does.

If you can't see a Junk mail folder in a given account, you have to purposely select it in the list of all folders and add it.

Good luck.

You expand the folders under each account by clicking the the arrow on the left, then you select the junk folder from the account whose junk mail you want to delete. Select the mail in that junk folder, then delete. It should only delete that account's junk mail.

Please understand that I do have a Junk folder in each of my accounts. I also have sent, drafts, etc. That is not the issue. so, when you say select the mail in that junk folder I take it as either: 1. highlighting the junk folder to see the emails that are in the folder and either going to "mailbox" and selecting "delete junk mail" or using a two finger click to bring up a box that says "delete junk mail". Doing either of those actions delete the junk emails in all of my junk folders in all of my accounts.

Or

2.selecting all the emails in one junk folder and hitting delete. That works to delete the emails in just that folder, however, the act of selecting those emails opens each of those emails which obviously is a very risky thing to do. That is not something I want to happen.

I use thunderbird email client on a linux computer and I can delete junk emails from any one of my accounts individually without risking opening any of them. I was hoping that there was a way to do that with Mail.
