Watch keeps locking on my wrist

Just wondering if there is yet to be a fix or an update anytime soon if anybody knows by any chance to finally fix the buggy automatic lock while wearing? I’ve seen the discussions about it and the best answer was to turn wrist detection off but that is not a fix, more like a compromise. hoping to get a fix for such an annoying issue for something worth as much money ..

For most people, when a watch locks on the wrist, it's because the user has dark tattoos where the watch sits. Do you have tattoos where the watch sits? If yes, there may never be a solution as Apple specifically suggests Tattoos can effect the ability of the watch to work properly.

This happens to me (my Apple Watch kept locking even though it was on my wrist) and I finally figured out that I had accidentally put my iPhone in sleep mode. Once I turned off sleep mode it was fixed and my watch appears continuously as long as it’s on my wrist. Sleep mode is on the utility screen somewhere around the flashlight and there are a bunch of YouTube videos that show you how to turn off sleep mode.

HOLY MOLY!!! that makes absolute perfect sense, lol I’m surprised I haven’t heard about that. Yes I have tattoos. I have a little bit of gap between my hand in the dark tattoos so I’ll try to wear it down all the way, but yeah you’re probably right there might never be a fix. At least now I know why. Wow, thank you I’m really glad I asked lol it’s probably silly that I didn’t know that but I’m not really up-to-date with most tech news. Appreciate the thoughtful response.
