ipad Air charging port

With the recent experience I had with my daughter's iPad Air 5. Despite using it carefully, the charging port became increasingly difficult to insert the cable, ultimately leading to complete charging failure. When I visited

an Apple store, the technician deemed it physical damage and refused to repair it under warranty. As an engineer with 20 years of experience, I suspect it may be an Outgoing Quality Control (OQC) issue with the

charge port. Additionally, I have come across numerous reports on Reddit of similar issues, indicating a potential design flaw. kindly request Apple to reconsider and address this issue promptly.

Apple does invite submission of comments and feedback via its Product Feedback portal - this, perhaps, being a more appropriate method of getting your feedback to Apple. For iPad and iPadOS:

It could be considered "abuse" or "normal wear and tear" which isn't covered by the warranty.

I wouldn't normally recommend it, but it might be possible to have a third party repair shop just replace the port and/or associated board. That might be a consideration if paying for a full out of warranty replacement isn't an option. But Apple would likely consider it as such ineligible for any further service from Apple.
