Cropping a video in Quicktime

Not a question just a shared find. You can't obviously crop (as opposed to trim) a video within quick time but you can achieve this quickly by using the selection tool in 'new screen recording'. You can then actually play a quicktime video whilst re-recording a selected part of it.
